This project included the modification and construction of an approximately 136-foot-long ramp and stairs at existing Loading Dock. Structural concrete and masonry, railings, utility relocation and modification, storm water diversion, paving and finishes.
The modification and construction of this ramp at the loading docks required careful coordination with SMH staff by rerouting access during the construction phase. Also, coordination was required with the Loading Dock usage by delivery trucks since their working zone is in a portion of the construction area. Magnum provided coordination of the Staff and Delivery vehicles along with the construction crews onsite to maintain a safe working condition for all. The project required a few modifications during construction due to existing conditions but was completed on time and in budget. Magnum and SMH’s Construction team worked closely with the City of Sarasota Building Department to expedite the completion of all required inspections on time to open as planned.
