Magnum Builders, under a CM at Risk Contract, constructed the St Paul’s Fellowship Hall Project. Magnum provided pre-construction services working directly with the Owner and the Architect to steer the project. It involved the renovation of a portion of fire damaged structure and the addition of new space to create a larger hall. The new and some existing space added fire protection. The project was completed under budget allowing for additional funds to be used for some unforeseen conditions that would require immediate attention to repair. Because the project was under budget costs, the Owner was able to remedy these unexpected issues without seeking additional funds.
Magnum’s Impact – Magnum was instrumental in the design development phase of the project by keeping the Owner on target with this highly ‘budget driven’ project. By estimating multiple construction options from "complete tear-down and build new" to "rebuild existing fire damaged as was prior to the fire”, Magnum was able to find a construction target that included some new additional space and some renovation of the existing that would meet the function and budget needs of the Church.
