This project addressed the creation of a Single Point of Entry into Sarasota County Schools Administration Complex located at the Landings Campus in Sarasota, FL. After conducting a campus master planning study, the findings identified the need to relocate the new single point entrance closer to the main entry area of the campus. This was accomplished by converting an under-utilized area of the Landings Tan Building into the new office space in order to address campus control and security operations. The scope of work included selective demolition, new offices, new conference rooms, new ADA Compliant Restrooms, HVAC Systems, new covered walkway canopies, new LED energy efficient lighting, access control, security fencing and gates, and new improvements to the existing site drainage and utilities.
Magnum Builders’ Impact to the Success of the Project:
Magnum completed this project under our Design-Build Continuing Services (Construction Management) for the Sarasota County Schools. This project was a fast-tracked project that needed to be completed by November 12, 2021. We were able to complete the programming, design, and construction in less than 4 months. This project also affected the Sarasota County Schools Boardroom as it is located in the same building where the majority of the construction was being done. Magnum was able to work around the Sarasota County Schools Board Meetings and workshops to ensure there weren’t any disruptions to the Board Meetings.
